NYAB delivers comprehensive Balance of Plant (BoP) solutions for wind farms, covering the infrastructure and electrical works needed to bring projects from planning to operation.
From early-stage investigations and design support to roads, foundations, internal power networks, substations and grid connections, we provide a single point of responsibility throughout the project. This gives our customers a dependable partner that combines technical expertise, efficient project management and proven delivery capability in large-scale wind power developments.
One partner throughout the project.
End-to-end responsibility
NYAB operates as a comprehensive BoP contractor, taking responsibility for all phases of wind farm infrastructure and electrification works. Our approach combines technical expertise, structured project management and close collaboration with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
Safety and quality at every stage
We take responsibility for the entire agreed scope, from planning and ground investigations to construction and commissioning. This creates clear accountability, efficient coordination and transparency throughout the project.
Efficient project execution
Safety, quality and compliance are integrated into every phase of delivery. Proven processes and experienced teams help ensure reliable outcomes in demanding project environments.
Flexible expertise for complex projects
With extensive experience in wind power, power networks and electrical infrastructure, we can deliver complete BoP contracts or selected project packages, adapting our role to each customer’s needs.

Experience that delivers results.
We combine proven wind power experience, specialist energy infrastructure expertise and the resources needed to deliver complex projects from construction through to grid connection.
We have participated in the delivery of more than 270 wind turbines across Finland, building extensive experience in Balance of Plant (BoP) projects and wind farm infrastructure. Our track record includes major developments such as Lumivaara, Karahka, Mikonkeidas, Kaukanen and Pajuperänkangas wind farms.
Our capabilities extend beyond wind farm infrastructure. We combine wind power construction expertise with extensive experience in power networks, substations and transmission lines, enabling us to manage both the construction site and the critical electrical infrastructure required to connect generation to the grid. We have been approved for Fingrid’s supplier register as a constructor of 400 kV substations and 400 kV transmission lines, demonstrating the quality, competence and reliability required for critical national infrastructure projects.
Our projects are delivered by a multidisciplinary organisation of approximately 350 employees across Finland and Sweden. By bringing together specialists in civil construction, power networks, electrical infrastructure and energy projects, we provide the expertise, capacity and coordination needed to deliver wind power projects safely, efficiently and at scale.

Questions about NYAB’s wind farm projects.
Which parts of a wind farm project can NYAB deliver?
We deliver the complete Balance of Plant scope, including roads, crane pads, earthworks, foundations, internal power networks, substations, transmission lines and grid connections. Depending on the project, we can also provide selected packages or support specific phases of the development.
How early can NYAB become involved in a wind power project?
We can support projects from the early planning phase onwards. Our involvement can include ground investigations, constructability reviews, design coordination and project planning to help reduce risks before construction begins.
Do you provide grid connection and substation construction?
Yes. We have extensive expertise in power networks, substations and transmission lines. We construct the electrical infrastructure required to connect wind farms safely and reliably to the national grid.
Can NYAB work as part of a larger project organisation?
Yes. While we frequently operate as a comprehensive BoP contractor, we can also deliver selected contract packages or work alongside developers, turbine suppliers and other contractors as part of a larger project team.
How do you ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget?
We combine structured project management, experienced site teams and proactive risk management to maintain control throughout delivery. Early planning, clear responsibilities and continuous coordination help us manage schedules, costs and quality effectively.
What makes NYAB different from other wind power contractors?
We combine civil construction, electrical infrastructure, substations and transmission line expertise within one organisation. This allows us to manage interfaces efficiently, reduce project complexity and provide a single accountable partner throughout the project lifecycle.
