Roads and bridges that keep regions connected

Roads and bridges do more than connect places. They connect communities, industries and opportunities. NYAB helps deliver the infrastructure that keeps people and goods moving across Sweden and Finland.

With experienced project management, effective coordination and clear end-to-end responsibility, we take projects from first mobilisation through to completion, often as an integrated part of larger energy, industrial and infrastructure developments.

Before a road opens to traffic and before a bridge is brought into use, everything has already been decided in practice. Traffic flows must hold. Structures must carry. The ground and the surrounding environment must continue to function.

This is where our work begins.
With experience from complex infrastructure projects, both on land and over water, we bring control to execution and move projects forward at the right pace.

THE CONDITIONS WE WORK IN

Projects where the demands are high.

Road and bridge projects place high demands on both planning and execution. Traffic must be managed, safety maintained and coordination with other technical disciplines ensured throughout the project, from early planning to the finished asset. At the same time, road and bridge projects involve an intervention in the natural environment. We frequently work in sensitive areas and adapt planning and execution to take account of natural and cultural values that need to be preserved.

When we take responsibility for a project, we work closely with the client to build a shared understanding: what the site allows, how the programme is shaped and which activities are critical to delivering the project without disruption.

OUR APPROACH

When many pieces must fit together.

Our approach is designed for assignments where engineering, logistics, safety and collaboration must work simultaneously.
In practice, this means:

  • Turnkey contracts when full responsibility is required: Planning and execution from start to finished asset, with full accountability for, quality and coordination.
  • Early analysis of site conditions and constraints: Traffic, surroundings, ground conditions and technical interfaces are assessed early.
  • Structured planning of delivery: Clear programmes and decision frameworks reduce the risk of late changes.
  • Execution with experienced teams: Project management and resources are coordinated on site.
  • Continuous follow-up and transparency: Safety, quality and progress are monitored throughout the project.
  • Collaboration where it creates the most value: We frequently work in collaborative contracting models to simplify decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Health and safety: We take a structured and proactive approach to site safety, with clear procedures and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment throughout the project.
